Tantalum Capacitor

   More than 90% of all tantalum electrolytic capacitors are manufactured in SMD style as tantalum chip capacitors. It has contact surfaces on the end faces of the case and is manufactured in different sizes, typically following the EIA-535-BAAC standard. The different sizes can also be identified by case code letters.

   Axial-lead tubular hermetically sealed solid tantalum capacitors have proven reliability and performance, combined with low leakage current, high capacitance and low dissipation factor with very high stability over time. These capacitors have been proven in commercial, harsh environments of industrial and military applications. Solid tantalum capacitors are suitable for decoupling, blocking, by-passing, filtering and r-c timing circuits.

   This series of capacitors are Tantalum capacitors with dipped resin encapsulation and radial lead wire terminations. Low leakage current, very small physical sizes and excellent temperature stability, for filtering, bypassing, coupling, blocking and RC timing circuits. The series offer the widely recognised advantages inherent in solid tantalum capacitors.

   The Tantalum Stacks MnO2 (TSM) Series is designed to provide the highest capacitance/voltage ratings in surface mount configuration. Traditional tantalum capacitors are utilized in stacks of 2,3,4,and 6 components to achieve a broad range of capacitance and voltage ratings. Stacking configurations offer this high reliability product with custom capacitance/voltage solutions and very low ESR options.

   The Tantalum Polymer Capacitors are low-ESR, surface mount capacitors ranging from 1µF - 1000µF capacitance, with operating temperatures from -55°C to +105°C. These capacitors feature molded cases available in multiple case codes with either wraparound or L-shaped, face-down terminations. This tantalum polymer series covers a 2.5VDC to 75VDC voltage rating range and is designed for high-volume manufacturing.    Tantalum hybrid capacitors provide very high power and energy density in devices much smaller and lighter than traditional tantalum wet, tantalum chip, aluminum electrolytic, or ceramic capacitors. The tantalum hybrid is also the most reliable capacitor in the market.Unlike other super capacitors, use of the dielectric permits higher voltage operation of single cells, and can thus operate at higher voltages without the need for series connected cells.
